Welcome To My Online CV

I am not actively seeking alternative employment at this moment in time.

My name is David Parkes, based in Skelmersdale, Lancashire and I have built this site purely for the purpose of directing potential employers to a point of reference where they can find out more about me and my career history in addition to my interests. If you have found this site the chances are you have clicked on a link through a search engine such as Google, Google Adwords a job search engine link, or you have been given a link from my CV and cover letter during a job application.  The links have been set-up to attract prospective employers and hopefully this means you.  I wanted to generate an interest in my skills and stand out from the crowd, you have found me, so hopefully I have.

Throughout my career, I have developed many skills and hold experience in the following areas.

My career has seen me handle in excess of a million pounds worth of business, dealing at director, board and owner level.  I've managed multi-site retail stores and trained not only staff under my domain but also staff from other companies during product training events which I have organised and instructed.

I have experienced three redundancies throughout my career and for the third time, I have picked myself up and kept motivated in my job search, I am tenacious, with a can do attitude, a good asset to have and have earned respect from employers and colleagues for my attitude towards work and my customers/clients.

Finding the right sales person for your business is hard, for the right sales person, finding the right company seems harder.

I strongly believe that a good sales person given the necessary product training, can sell anything, as people generally buy off people they like and trust.

I am confident, a target achiever and possess drive and enthusiasm, experienced in both business to business and business to consumer sales, trusted and respected by colleagues and clients and have always placed my career and the companies I work for as a priority.
